Founder and Owner
David Groth started Laser Star Systems ten years ago. He saw a need for high-caliber CCTV systems. Working as the installer, developer, designer, customer service representative, researcher and product developer, he has grown LSS into the thriving company it is today. While other companies were selling the then standard VCRs, David was already implementing DVR systems; he offered higher quality hardware and listened to the needs of the consumers. He was also a contributor to the software developers in the U.S. and Asia doing multi-window and timeline data review. Today you can see many of his ideas implemented in typical DVR software functions. Always looking for the customer’s best interest, it was only natural for him to scrutinize the latest developments in the security industry. David takes every course he asks his staff to take. Last year he completed the AXIS systems and design course in Toronto, OnSSI software training in Vancouver and a multi-level certification program with Pelco’s IP division in Fresno California. Thanks to his perseverance and vision, LSS is a leader on multiple fronts of security technology implementation. David has always put the customer first.
Tim Wood
Sales Manager
Tim Wood has recently returned to Laser Star Systems to fill the role of Sales Manager. He brings years of security installation and estimating knowledge to this organization. Tim has worked with Dave to grow LSS's customer base, offering the best products and service to clients. His close relationships with product manufactuers and suppliers make him a valuable asset in obtaining the best pricing available. Product information , project estimates , client liaison and helping clients understand how the technology can serve their needs better, is core to Tim. His customer care and follow-up has given patrons of LSS the confidience to use our services time and time again.
Martin MacLeod
IT Technical Support
Martin MacLeod has been working with Laser Star Systems for the last 4 years. In his position as Technical Support/IT manager he is quite frequently confronted with ever changing security technologies in particular on the recording devices such as DVR's and NVR's. He has been participating in the installation and commissioning of video surveillance, access control systems, computer repair and networking.
Like all of us here at Laser Star Systems we believe in exceeding our customer expectations. Service is the keyword so Martin always keeps clients satisfied by having solutions to technical issues, he insures onsite and remote service. He also does most of the tutorials to the end user by giving the customer true control over their investment. He holds a degree as Computer Technician and is certified with most of our suppliers such as Indigo Vision, Onssi, Axis, and others.
